It's a Tuesday morning. Your Strategist has spent the weekend deep in a new prompting workflow she found on LinkedIn. She's generated a brief she's proud of: layered, fast, and structurally sound.
She sends it to the Creative Lead.

This is the Individual Myth: the belief that distributing AI literacy one license at a time constitutes an AI strategy. It doesn't. It constitutes an AI hobby.
The problem compounds further up the chain. Adobe's 2026 AI and Digital Trends research found that practitioners consistently report deeper AI integration in their day-to-day work than their executives perceive. The people responsible for AI strategy often have the least accurate picture of how it's actually being used on the ground. The training gap and the perception gap are feeding each other.
The real unit of competitive performance in a creative agency is not the individual, it's the handoff: the moment when a brief becomes a concept, when a concept becomes a production file, when a production file becomes a delivered asset. Start instead with: Where are our handoffs breaking down?
Map them. Find the friction. Identify the moments where individual AI adoption is creating illegibility, redundancy, or unspoken standards that only one person understands. That map is your training brief.
Then bring the whole team into the room, together, live, accountable to each other, to rebuild the workflow from the handoff up.
Stop splitting your team apart to upskill them. Bring them together to reinvent the work.
